In the fast-developing world of today, with millions of people living in every nation, need for more physicians and pharmacists have arisen. After the deadly pandemic of Covid-19 that took over the world in a very short time, every one felt the need for knowledgeable and innovative pharmacists in every part of the world. A need which was felt even more than a need for doctors. Thus, many universities in the world have taken their pharmacy courses quite seriously and pay double attention to it now, and the UBT college of Kosovo isn’t an exception. The program offered by this university is a program with international standards, which answers the needs of not only the local, but also the international market. The curriculum approaches pharmacy with a problem-solving perspective and prepares its students for future unexpected problems.

Research is a crucial activity in the world of pharmacy. Analyzing the already existent drugs and creating new ones is the main job of a pharmacists. The UBT college of Kosovo has tried to prepare all the needed facilities for its students to do research and contribute as much as they can to the fast-developing world of pharmacy. The university consists of a preparatory lab, lab for physiochemical analysis, microbiologic lab, drug analysis lab and sensoric lab. All of them include all the amenities that are needed for every type of pharmaceutical research.

By adding practical, laboratory-based courses to its curriculum, and signing various contracts with several companies working in this field, the program aims at educating its students in the most practical way possible. The main objective of this program is for its graduates to successfully apply the learnt knowledge and principals into practice. Conducting research at laboratories is highly emphasized and is supported by various internship projects in companies such as Trepharm and Santefarm. In conclusion, the pharmacy program offered by UBT college of Kosovo is one of the most practical and high-quality programs offered by this university.
