Dentistry is a branch of science which deals dental and oral health of people. This field is one of the most important fields of medicine and an extensive amount of training and education is needed to reach the aims of each program. The program offered by the biggest university of the country is one of the best programs that can be found in Kosovo. University of Pristina offers program in line with the principals of Kosovo’s medical system. The offered program accosts dentistry with a problem-solving perspective and prepares its students for future issues.  

In every dentistry program, many different types of equipment are needed in the educational process. Faculties try to provide the infrastructure needed for their courses inside the university, however, sometimes external assistance is also compulsory. In the faculty of medicine, more than 12 laboratories can be found, which have their own uses and research objectives. The experimental laboratory of surgical interventions, biochemistry, microbiology and other laboratories can be seen. A fully equipped clinical training center also exists in the faculty. Internships and workshops are also quite popular at this university.

This university offers courses which follow national and international standards and are in line with the principals of international health organizations. The other significant advantage of this program is medical faculty’s vast net of international relations. The university has signed partnership agreements with universities in USA, such as Global Health Institution of Harvard, Germany, Turkey, Italy and several more. Erasmus programs are also quite popular and the university offers double degree majors with one of the partner universities. The university has a close association with the Chamber of Dentists of Kosovo and the national institute of public health, by which students can benefit from internship opportunities in various public hospitals.
